Who we are

LoanLens (loanlens.co.uk) is a UK-based information website providing free calculators and guides about invoice finance for businesses. We are not an invoice finance provider, broker, or financial services firm. Invoice finance is not a regulated activity in the UK, and we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

What data we collect

Calculator inputs: All calculations happen entirely in your browser. We never transmit, store, or have access to any financial figures you enter into our calculators (balances, rates, terms). This data never leaves your device.

Lead enquiry forms: If you choose to request quotes from invoice finance brokers using our lead forms, we collect the information you provide (business name, contact name, email address, phone number, annual turnover, and business details). This data is only collected when you explicitly submit the form and consent to us sharing it with brokers.

Analytics: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service. Plausible is cookieless — it does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and is compliant with GDPR, PECR, and CCPA. We can see aggregate statistics (page views, traffic sources, countries) but not individual user data. See how Plausible works.

Local storage: We store one item in your browser's local storage: your cookie consent preference (ll-cookies). This is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Sharing your data with brokers

If you use our lead enquiry forms to request quotes from invoice finance brokers, we will share your information with FCA-authorised brokers to enable them to contact you with competitive quotes. We only do this with your explicit consent, which you provide by ticking the consent checkbox on the form.

Legal basis: Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, though this will not affect data already shared with brokers.

Which brokers: We work with a panel of FCA-authorised invoice finance brokers. The specific brokers we share your data with will be named on the form before you submit it. Current broker partners include:

• Swoop Funding (FCA reference number to be confirmed)
• Funding Options (FCA reference number to be confirmed)

What brokers do with your data: Brokers will use your information to assess your eligibility for invoice finance, contact you by phone or email to discuss your requirements, and provide quotes from their panel of lenders. Each broker has their own privacy policy governing how they handle your data — please review their privacy policies when they contact you.

Data retention: We do not routinely store lead enquiry data. Your information is forwarded to brokers via email and then deleted. If you opt in to receive our newsletter, we will retain your email address for marketing purposes until you unsubscribe.

International transfers: All brokers we work with are UK-based and FCA-authorised. Your data will not be transferred outside the UK or EEA.

Cookies

We do not set cookies. Plausible Analytics operates without cookies. Our cookie consent banner is shown as a courtesy — the analytics we use do not require consent under PECR because they do not use cookies or collect personal data.

Some affiliate links lead to third-party websites that may set their own cookies. We have no control over third-party cookies. Please refer to the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

Affiliate links

Some pages contain affiliate links to third-party financial services providers. If you click an affiliate link and subsequently purchase a product, we may receive a commission. This commission does not affect the price you pay, nor does it influence our calculator results or editorial content. Affiliate links are clearly labelled.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification: Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (note: this does not apply to data already shared with brokers)
• Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for future data sharing (does not affect past data sharing)
• Right to object: Object to processing of your data for marketing purposes

Note: For calculator usage only (without submitting lead forms), we do not collect personal data, so data subject rights do not apply.
